The “classical” Aspire Aquathon Series returns back, kick starting the 2016-2017 seasons the upcoming 21st October 2016! This first race will be a good opportunity to assess how fit you are, to get back into shape and motivate you to compete into the upcoming races.
This timing multi-sport combination of swimming & running race will begin once again in Hamad Aquatics Centre pool facility and around the Aspire Zone precinct to the running leg. Closed roads will ensure a safe and speedy race for all.
The race is open for all ages now aligned with ITU - International Triathlon Union, Rules & Regulation, aged 7 years and over, with a range of categories, and features courses of varying distances.
Adult’s age groups to run for 5K and to swim 500m long, while kids will run between 1.25 K -2.5K and to swim between 100-200m long according to their age group.
Participants will be offered water, fresh fruit (apple or banana), cereal bar and a muffin
