Young Qatari Talents Shine at Aquathon Series

Noah, Yacob and Yousef Al Khulaifi are a trio of local Qatari brothers whose sporting talent, commitment to excel, and infectious enthusiasm have repeatedly impressed spectators and fellow competitors alike at Aspire Zone’s annual Aquathon Series.

Noah and Yacob, aged 14 and 12 respectively, started competing in the community-inspired event last year. Their hard work has paid off as the two athletes have consistently dominated the junior categories.

The 2013/2014 edition of the Aquathon marked the introduction of new age categories, allowing younger aspiring athletes to compete, including Yousef Al Khulaifi, who was finally able to compete alongside his older brothers Noah and Yacob. 8-year-old Yousef is hoping to emulate his older siblings’ overwhelming success at the Aquathon.

The Aquathon, organized by Aspire Logistics, takes place every year at Aspire Zone and consists of five races spread across several months. Each race includes a swim in the Aspire Dome pool and a run around Aspire Park. Entry is open to both men and women, with each event featuring races of varying distances for juniors aged 8 to 15, adults 16 to 39, and veterans who are 40 and over.
