On Monday, Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) was named the Best Sports Organisation 2017 by the General Secretariat and Experts Committee at the second annual Arab Best Award ceremony in Marrakesh, Morocco.
Mr. Mohammed Khalifa Al-Suwaidi, the Chief Executive Officer of Aspire Zone Foundation, received the award in front of an audience of high-profile representatives from regional and international organisations.
The General Secretariat and Experts Committee commended AZF’s “distinguished leadership of the organisation which has spared no effort to advance its holistic performance while remaining committed to the highest levels of continued improvement, transparency, professionalism, dedication and neutrality.”
Award categories are highly competitive, with winners selected based on a merit system that includes 17 criteria, including leadership style, alignment to strategic business goals and administrative productivity.
The award is a further milestone as AZF continues to cement its reputation as world-class in pursuance of it vision to become “the reference in sports excellence worldwide by 2020.” Furthermore, it acknowledges the combined efforts of its member organisations - Aspire Logistics, Aspire Academy, and Aspetar, the orthopedic and sports medicine hospital – in delivering significant value to the sporting community around the world.
The accolade is testament to ‘The Aspire WAY,’ a mantra which champions superhuman effort in the pursuit of tangible results across the foundation.
