Aspire Logistics, member organisation of Aspire Zone Foundation, successfully passed the quality management standards audit (ISO 9001) and the environmental management standards audit (ISO 14001) issued by the International Organization for Standardizations (ISO), and the occupational health and safety standards audit (OHSAS 18001).

The organisation achieved these certifications standards by establishing and maintaining a management system focusing on continual performance improvement and considering the requirements placed by all the interested parties. The certifications will help Aspire Logistics achieve consistent business processes, and measurable, cost-saving and time-bound improvements

To mark these achievements, Mr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Suwaidi, Acting CEO of Aspire Zone Foundation, and Mr. Ali Al-Fehaida, Acting Director General of Aspire Logistics were yesterday presented with certificates by Mr. Selim KSEIB, CEO of Bureau Veritas, and Mr. Makaram Abou-Fakherddine, Business Development Team Leader at Bureau Veritas, the company which led the inspection process on behalf of ISO.

Commenting on the news, Mr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Suwaidi, Acting CEO of Aspire Zone Foundation expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the team at Aspire Logistics and their achievements in meeting these standards. He also expressed his pride in the capabilities and capacities of Aspire Logistics, which enabled it to attain such high international standards in quality management, operational safety, and environmental management. In addition, he emphasised the need to maintain and continue applying them across the organisation’s different activities and events.

Mr. Selim KSEIB, CEO of Bureau Veritas, expressed his delight to be working with a global sporting institution such as Aspire Zone Foundation, and congratulated its team for their remarkable efforts in being awarded three certificates at once. He explained that this is an achievement managed by only a few organisations, adding that it provides clear evidence of the Foundation’s highly established operational standards in these areas.

Aspire Logistics has in the past received these certificates, but has renewed them to ensure that its operations meet the highest possible standards.
